In the business world, understanding and interpreting data is an integral part of decision making. The Master of Business Analytics gives you the skills to help organisations achieve their strategic objectives through analytics-based solutions. You will learn skills that are in demand in both the private and public sectors, where a wide variety of industries are moving towards increasingly evidence-based decision practices.
The course has been developed in consultation with industry and course partners, including IBM, Microsoft, Altis Consulting, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PBT Group and PwC. This means you will get hands-on experience with a range of internationally recognised business intelligence and state-of-the-art analytics tools. The latest analytics concepts and issues are also integrated across the curriculum.
Working alongside academics who are experts in their field, you will cover areas such as business intelligence, predictive analytics, decision modelling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cyber security strategies and real-world analytics.
Indicative student workload
As a student in the Faculty of Business and Law, you can expect to participate in a range of teaching activities each week. This could include classes, seminars and practicals. Fees and charges
Fees and charges vary depending on the type of fee place you hold, your course, your commencement year, the units you choose to study and their study discipline, and your study load.

Course rules
To complete the Master of Business Analytics, GIFT City campus students must attain 16 credit points over 1.5 years of full-time (continuous) study.
GIFT City campus students will study 12 credit points of core units, plus completion of 4 credit points from the Professional Practice specialisation and the compulsory 0-credit point module, DAI001 Academic Integrity Module.
Students are introduced to research tools and techniques in core units of the course where they learn analytic skills and the practical application of those skills in professional contexts. They must also complete a capstone unit that requires them to integrate the skills learnt over their course of study and produce an applied piece of research with reference to prevailing literature.
