Course rules
To complete the MBA (Global) students must pass 12 credit points and meet the following course rules to be eligible to graduate:
- DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in their first study period
- 6 credit points of core units credited by Deakin upon completion of postgraduate international articulation pathway program in Management, approved by Deakin University
- 6 credit points of core units delivered by Deakin University via UpGrad

Research and research-related study
This MBA (Global) does not contain a compulsory research project component. Students are introduced to research tools and techniques in core units of the course where they learn analytical skills and the practical application. Prescribed in the GLO’s are discipline specific knowledge and capabilities – requiring students to research literature and analyse empirical findings in order to complete assessments, and Digital literacy - using technologies to find and disseminate information. Assessments involve authentic and applied research-oriented tasks as part of several units and require students to conduct self-directed independent and collaborative research. Example tasks include but are not limited to: sourcing and retrieving information; evaluating prevailing industry data or reports as well as academic literature; draw on components of business research methods to construct reports; and demonstrate presentation skills and academic/business report writing skills.
