Business analytics is transforming the world of work. The Graduate Certificate of Business Analytics enables professionals to create commercial value from big data and solve the decision-making challenges facing business today. Lead by our globally recognised experts, you will learn to:

  • Apply broad and integrated knowledge of business analytics concepts and existing software, to research, identify and justify solutions for organisations and social contexts.
  • Apply digital technologies to support research, analysis and information dissemination about the impact of Business Analytics technologies on business strategies and operations
  • Think critically in identifying alternative solutions, evaluating options and problem solving

The graduate certificate is suited to anyone who wishes to get ahead of the game and rise to the data challenge.

Indicative student workload

As a student in the Faculty of Business and Law, you can expect to participate in a range of teaching activities each week. This could include classes, seminars, practicals and online interaction. You can refer to the individual unit details in the course structure for more information. You will also need to study and complete assessment tasks in your own time.

Qualified business analysts are attracting well above average salaries globally across all sectors, from government and information technology to health settings. Advertised roles include Reporting Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Operations Analyst, Business Intelligence Analysts right through to specialised disciplines such as Geoinformatics Data Analyst and See-Ice Data Analyst.

Tuition fees increase at the beginning of each calendar year and all fees quoted are in Australian dollars ($AUD). Tuition fees do not include textbooks, computer equipment or software, other equipment or costs such as photocopying or travel.

Course rules

To complete the Graduate Certificate of Business Analytics, students must attain a total of 4 credit points comprising of 2 credit points of core units; 2 credit points of course-grouped electives , plus completion of the compulsory 0-credit point module, MAI010 Academic Integrity Module.
