Course sub-headings

Course overview

Understand what truly motivates consumers by combining marketing and psychology to deeply analyse consumer behaviour and turn insights into powerful marketing campaigns that deliver real results.

Develop practical skills in marketing strategy, consumer behaviour, digital marketing and data driven decision-making, while building a deep understanding of how people think, feel and act. With its industry focus, practical projects and 80+ hours of work-integrated learning, the Bachelor of Marketing (Psychology) will help you turn theory into experience that stands out to employers. You will graduate prepared for roles in brand management, market research, customer experience and digital marketing and progress to becoming a Certified Practising Marketer. Or choose to continue your studies towards becoming a registered psychologist.

Indicative student workload

You can expect to participate in a range of teaching activities each week. This could include lectures, seminars, online interactions, or professional experiences for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) units. You can refer to the individual unit details in the course structure for more information. You will also need to study and complete assessment tasks in your own time.

Professional recognition

The Bachelor of Marketing (Psychology) is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and the Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC).

Graduates will be eligible for a one-year credit reduction, needed to become a Certified Practicing Marketer by the AMI.

Completion of the course also provides students with an APAC accredited three-year degree in psychology. This allows students to then undertake additional study in pursuit of professional registration as a practising psychologist through the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA).
