Deakin's Graduate Certificate of Education (Specialist Inclusive Education) responds to a growing demand for a more inclusive education system that fosters supportive and accessible learning environments. Gain the skills to pursue specialist support roles in education and contribute to meaningful progress in making education more inclusive.
You will examine diversity, explore the challenges and possibilities of heterogeneous classrooms and gain the confidence to create supportive learning environments while tailoring your focus through an elective in a complementary area. Developed with sector input and delivered online and part time, this course helps you build current, practical capability while balancing work and study. Graduate with the skills to foster inclusive, responsive learning across a range of educational settings. This course is also a pathway into the Master of Education (Specialist Inclusive Education) for students holding an existing Australian teaching qualification.

Course rules
To complete the Graduate Certificate of Education (Specialist Inclusive Education) you must pass 4 credit points. This includes:
- DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in your first study period
- 3 credit points of core units
- 1 credit point course elective.
Most units are equal to one credit point. Students are required to meet the University's academic progress and conduct requirements.

Tuition fees will vary depending on the type of fee place you hold, your course, your commencement year, the units you choose to study, your study load and/or unit discipline.
