Course rules
To complete the Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Arts students must pass 32 credit points and meet the following course rules to be eligible to graduate:
- DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in their first study period
- 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Business:
- 8 credit points of core (foundation) units: MAA104, MAE203, MIS203, MMK101, MMM132, MMM267, plus 2 Personal Skills units - MMM111 and MMM311
- 1 major (8 credit points)
- 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts
- 2 major (16 credit points)
OR - 1 major (8 credit points)
- 1 minor (4 credit points)
- The remaining credit point(s) may be used to undertake additional elective units chosen from the Bachelor of Arts which may comprise of a minor sequence (4 credit points)
- a minimum of 4 credit points of Faculty of Arts units at level 3
- 2 major (16 credit points)
- course requirements for both the Bachelor of Business (M325) and Bachelor of Arts (A300) must be satisfied

Arts Course Electives
Students must complete one approved Arts major of 8 credit points selected from A300 Bachelor of Arts Major/Minor listing. The remaining credit points may be used to undertake another Bachelor of Arts major, or a Bachelor of Arts minor and elective units chosen from the Bachelor of Arts.

Bachelor of Arts:
A major or minor sequence is a group of units in a particular area of study taken over the three levels of your course. Each unit is usually worth 1 credit point.
A major sequence is made up of 8 credit points, and a minor sequence is made of 4 credit points.
Please check the rules of each major and minor sequence to see which units you need to complete to achieve the required credit points.
Students enrolled in other courses and faculties may take an Arts major sequence
(8 credit points), minor sequence (4 credit points) or individual electives from these discipline areas, subject to meeting the prerequisites.
All students who intend to complete more than one major sequence in the Creative Arts (Dance, Drama, Photography, Visual Arts) should contact Student Central to complete a course map.
