Course rules

To complete the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science you must pass 32 credit points.  This includes:

  • DAI001 Academic Integrity Module (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in your first study period

Course requirements for both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science must be satisfied.

Bachelor of Arts

  • Two major sequences of at least 8 credit points each. Majors must comprise 2 credit points at level 1 and a minimum of 2 credit points at level 3 (unless otherwise stated)
  • One major of at least 8 credit points and one minor of at least 4 credit points consisting of units and level combinations as specified within the selected minor
  • (the remaining 4 credit points may be used to undertake an additional minor sequence, or to take electives chosen from the Bachelor of Arts); plus
  • A minimum of 4 credit points at level 3; and
  • DAI001 Academic Integrity (0 credit-point compulsory unit)

Bachelor of Science

  • At least 16 credit points from science course grouped units, including:
  • 9 core science units;
  • At least one 6 credit point approved Science major sequence;
  • Level 3 - a minimum of 4 Science units
  • SLE010 Laboratory and Fieldwork Safety Induction Program (0 credit-point compulsory unit)
  • STP010 Career Tools for Employability (0 credit-point compulsory unit)

Most units are equal to one credit point. As a full-time student you will study four credit points per trimester and usually undertake two trimesters per year.

Students are required to meet the University's academic progress and conduct requirements.

Tuition fees will vary depending on the type of fee place you hold, your course, your commencement year, the units you choose to study, your study load and/or unit discipline.

Your tuition fees will increase annually at the start of each calendar year. All fees quoted are in Australian dollars ($AUD) and do not include additional costs such as textbooks, computer equipment or software, other equipment, mandatory checks, travel, consumables and other costs.
