Course overview
This double degree lets you combine complementary arts and science major sequences. Studying arts provides students with highly-developed critical-thinking skills, while undertaking units in science prepares students for work in areas such as biology, environmental policy, and industrial development.
Successful graduates of this course receive two degrees and a competitive advantage over those with a single only one degree.

Course rules
In order to qualify for the award of Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (D311), students must complete 32 credit points (16 credit points in the Faculty of Arts and Education and 16 credit points in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment, which must include the following:
- No more than 10 credit points of units at level 1
- Course requirements for both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science must be satisfied.
- Students are required to meet the University's academic progress and conduct requirements. Click here or more information.
- Two major sequences of at least 8 credit points each. Majors must comprise 2 credit points at level 1 and a minimum of 2 credit points at level 3 (unless otherwise stated); or
- One major of at least 8 credit points and one minor of at least 4 credit points consisting of a minimum of 1 credit point at level one and no more than 1 credit point at level 3 (the remaining 4 credit points may be used to undertake an additional minor sequence, or to take electives chosen from the Bachelor of Arts); plus
- A minimum of 4 credit points at level 3; and
- AAI018 Academic Integrity (0 credit-point compulsory unit)
- At least 16 credit points from science course grouped units, including:
- 8 core science units;
- At least one 6 credit point approved Science major sequence;
- Level 3 - at least 6 credit points (including a minimum of 4 Science units)
- SLE010 Laboratory and Fieldwork Safety Induction Program (0 credit-point compulsory unit)
- STP010 Career Tools for Employability (0 credit-point compulsory unit)
Work experience
Elective units may provide the opportunity for Work Integrated Learning experiences.
