If you choose to pursue a career as a registered architect, you can continue onto further studies in a Master of Architecture at Deakin. Once you have completed postgraduate studies and gained registration to practice, you can go on to a successful career as a practising architect and work in private architectural firms, government organisations, property development, or other building and design fields.

Fees and charges
Fees and charges vary depending on the type of fee place you hold, your course, your commencement year, the units you choose to study and their study discipline, and your study load.
Tuition fees increase at the beginning of each calendar year and all fees quoted are in Australian dollars ($AUD). Tuition fees do not include textbooks, computer equipment or software, other equipment or costs such as mandatory checks, travel and stationery.

Course rules
To complete the Bachelor of Design (Architecture)/Bachelor of Property and Real Estate, students must attain 36 credit points, which must include the following:
SRA010 Safety Induction Program (0-credit point compulsory unit)
DAI001 Academic Integrity (0- credit point compulsory unit)
thirty-five (35) core units consisting of 20 credit points in Bachelor of Design (Architecture) and 15 credit points in Bachelor of Property and Real Estate
one (1) credit point Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course elective for Bachelor of Property and Real Estate
Bachelor of Design (Architecture)/Bachelor of Property and Real Estate (accelerated program)
The course may be taken as an accelerated program. By taking selected units in Trimester 3 the course can be completed in four years instead of four and a half years.
This course includes a compulsory work integrated learning (WIL) unit.
