Content

This unit will explore technology entrepreneurship, focusing on what it means to engage in a process of innovation, scaling ideas from pipedreams to solutions. Through a series of case studies and recent research, students will investigate what it means to provide enterprise solutions as well as what is required to create a successful start-up. The case studies will enable students to explore entrepreneurial leadership on both small and large scales, discovering how to develop collaborative partnerships that support today's technological and social problems.

Through an industry-centred problem-based approach to learning, students will explore how to discover opportunity, while critically reflecting on their entrepreneurship-self that informs their career plan. This unit will provide mentor-guided seminars featuring a range of industry guest speakers, immersing students in local and global case studies to explore the nuances of innovation and entrepreneurship. Unit themes include: ideation, business strategies, marketing approaches, design thinking, and innovative solution design.
