Content
The unit provides an overview of the development, substance and enforcement of international human rights law, as well as its implementation in Australia. We will consider the philosophical concepts of human rights as well as the development of the contemporary international human rights regime. We will also look at the various rights recognised in human rights law, the manner in which they can be limited and means for enforcement. Selected case studies will be explored to highlight the operation and potential of human rights norms.
