Content

In this unit, students will be introduced to the areas of short-term recruitment and longer-term talent acquisition strategies and approaches, considering both the organisation as a recruiter as well as agencies (labour market intermediaries) and on-hiring (reverse) recruitment/brand building. Students will learn to navigate the process; identifying, acquiring, assessing, and hiring talent with considerations given to marketing and attraction strategies, HR planning (including job analysis and how to reimagine job design for Industry 4.0), compliance, equity, diversity and inclusion, including strategies for candidate engagement, educating hiring managers and reducing biases. The unit will provide students with the knowledge and skill to consider recruitment and talent acquisition as a career.
