Content

This unit focuses on the ethical role of information systems professionals (e.g. business analyst, data analyst) and business professionals. The rise of global eBusiness and the rapid development of 'Big Data' (or large quantities of digital data) have changed how people, organisations and societies operate and have introduced new ethical, social and professional issues. The key aim of this unit is to equip the student with the skills to understand, identify and analyse these issues. The unit will consider some of the key ethical and social issues that have arisen as a result of global eBusiness and 'Big Data' and provide practical experience in how to manage these issues.
