Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Content

The unit provides students with a fundamental understanding of the obesity epidemic from a population health perspective including individual, social-cultural and environmental determinants and intervention approaches. Students obtain the skills required to guide the development, implementation and evaluation of obesity prevention programs at the community and population level.
