Content
This unit explores developmental approaches to coaching and officiating, including informal, non-formal and formal models of development that support the development and delivery of positive and contextually appropriate sporting experiences for athletes. Pathways available for coach and official development will also be examined and explored in light of enduring issues around the recruitment, development and retention of a coach and official workforce at all sporting levels. Students will gain skills and knowledge in mapping suitable developmental pathways for themselves and others and consider the impact of these on the sport system.
