| In-person attendance requirements: | In Trimester 2, the two-day on-campus intensive is usually conducted twice; with one intensive scheduled at the Geelong (Waurn Ponds) campus on the Thursday and Friday of week 11 (for Geelong students studying online), and the other intensive scheduled at the Burwood (Melbourne) campus on the Saturday and Sunday of week 11 (for Burwood students studying online). In Trimester 3, the two-day on-campus intensive is usually conducted twice on the Burwood (Melbourne) campus; with one intensive scheduled on the Thursday and Friday of week 11, and the other intensive scheduled on the Saturday and Sunday of week 11 (for Burwood students studying online). Content
This unit is designed to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system and how it relates to normal and abnormal human movement. A detailed analysis of the functional anatomy of the skeletal, articular, neural and muscular systems is explored. Additional areas explored will be the role that the musculoskeletal system plays in static and dynamic posture and movement control.
