Content
This unit is core to the Bachelor of Public Health and Health Promotion, the combined courses with Commerce and Nursing, and for the Public Health major pathway in the Bachelor of Health Sciences. The unit is also offered as an elective to students across the University. Through this unit, students will be introduced to applying theories, models and frameworks used in both public health and health promotion; examine multiple dimensions of disease prevention and control including biological, behavioural, socioeconomic, and environmental factors; as well as relevant ethical, social, legal and advocacy issues.
