Course overview
The Graduate Certificate of Architectural Design is available as an exit option from the Master of Architecture. You will expand your knowledge in architecture, design and innovative strategies through creativity. You will have access to Deakin’s impressive A+B Studio, providing an open-plan space to work collaboratively and develop your projects.
Fabricate models in our state-of-the-art architecture workshop and experiment with technology, materials and processes. The workshop is fully equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers and traditional tools and machinery.
Graduates of the Certificate of Architectural Design may find employment opportunities in private architectural practices, government organisations and private companies in property development, building and design.

Course rules
To complete the Graduate Certificate of Architectural Design you must pass 4 credit points and meet the following course rules to be eligible to graduate:
- DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in your first study period
- SRA710 Safety Induction Program (0-credit-point compulsory unit)
- 4 credit points of core units
Students are required to meet the University's academic progress and conduct requirements.
