Content
An Engineering project is an intellectual and practical endeavour that is undertaken to produce the results that are expected from the requesting party. It begins with understanding the social needs, conceiving solutions and predicting how they will work. The procedures used for managing engineering projects vary from one organisation to another and even among individuals within an organisation. Yet, project management requires planning and organising teamwork and coordination of people who have the ability to detect and solve problems, and resources that are necessary to complete the project on time and within agreed budget constraints. In SEN723 you will develop systematic project management approaches and methodologies for designing, implementing and evaluating engineering projects. You will learn skills to manage interactions within an organisation and among functional areas and take responsibility to define, scope, cost, plan an schedule a project and track its progress for a handover.
