Content

Research skills are essential for engineers as it helps them find answers to questions, understand trends and prepare for practice. This unit provides students with a structured program to develop skills required to scope, plan, implement and evaluate research and developments in engineering. Students will be required to engage actively by rigorously searching and interpreting relevant information, summarising and evaluating findings, critically analysing gaps and proposing research to generate new knowledge. The knowledge and skills developed in this unit will allow students to adapt and evolve into engineers who are able to judge the quality and limitations of their own professional practice.

ULO These are the Learning Outcomes (ULO) for this unit. At the completion of this unit, successful students can: Deakin Graduate Learning Outcomes
