Content
This unit aims to equip students with the knowledge and ability to apply and critically evaluate contract law and policy. Students will develop an understanding of the importance of contract law in commercial life and private settings, and will be exposed to the policy issues raised by contract law. Topics include: the theoretical foundation for contract law, contract formation, privity of contract, contractual terms, exclusion clauses, vitiating factors, contract performance and termination by agreement, for breach of contract, and by frustration, and remedies.
