Note:*CBD refers to the National Indigenous Knowledges, Education, Research and Innovation (NIKERI) Institute; Community Based Delivery The minor project is worth two credit points comprised HSH731 and HSH732. These may be undertaken: (a) concurrently by students wishing to complete the minor project in one trimester (students enrol in both HSH731 and HSH732 in the same trimester); or (b) sequentially enrol in HSH731 in one trimester followed by HSH732 in the next trimester. | |
Content
This unit must be studied in conjunction with HSH732 Minor Project B. This unit enables students to improve their knowledge and skills in research planning, conduct, and presentation of findings relative to public health. Students conduct research-based tasks and make a significant contribution to a research-based project in their relevant field of study.
Students can choose from among three different project types:
1. Review (literature, policy, media)
2. Development of a research protocol
3. Data analysis of an existing data set
