Content
This unit will cover some of the critical issues professionals encounter in Sport Science. Students will be equipped with the skills to synthesise and summarise Sport Science literature and apply interventions in real-word Sport Science contexts. Additionally, students will gain insights into ethical considerations as well as equity and diversity issues that arise in professional practice. These include considerations for women in sport, para-athletes, indigenous populations and gender. The curriculum emphasises the importance of fostering inclusive and equitable environments within sport, addressing the unique needs and perspectives of diverse populations.
This unit encourages reflective practice and critical thinking, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the evolving professional landscape of sports science. By the end of this unit, students will be prepared to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the field, advocating for best practices and ethical standards in their professional endeavours.
