Typical study commitment:

Students will spend on average 150 hours over the trimester undertaking synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning activities for this unit.

This will include 12 hours synchronous learning activities and 12 hours of guided asynchronous learning activities.

Content

This unit is the second of two units within the Professional Studies Cluster designed to assist students in the transition from student to the role of registered nurse.

This unit will focus on the registered nurse’s role in promoting safe and quality care. Students will develop understanding of the registered nurse’s leadership responsibilities in clinical risk management, clinical governance, accountability, delegation, supervision, and quality improvement.
