Content
This unit forms part of the Critical Understandings Cluster. Underpinned by the Nursing and Midwifery Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Curriculum Framework, the unit provides an opportunity for students to acquire specific knowledge and strategies to enable the provision of quality and culturally safe nursing and midwifery care for Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This unit includes the examination of social, political, and historical determinants relevant to the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
