Content
This unit, forms part of the Critical Understandings Cluster, addresses the unique aspects of caring for children and young people. It addresses growth and development, legal and ethical responsibilities associated with caring for children and young people, and their specific care requirements.
Students will learn about the registered nurse's role in symptom management and risk assessment for these groups, exploring evidence-informed interventions to promote optimal functioning and development.
The unit also focuses on communication with children and young people particularly those living with disabilities, those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and those living in under-resourced contexts.
