Students must be enrolled in course D303, D347, E760, E763 or E765

Prerequisite:

D303 students must also have passed 24 credit points of study at levels 1, 2 & 3 with a minimum WAM of 60%

Students enrolled in course E763 or E765 must complete EEE754, plus 1 unit from EEE755, EEE756, EPR731, EPR751

Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

In Person Attendance Requirements
Students who are completing professional experience placements are not required to attend classes or scheduled synchronous sessions during the placement.

Scheduled learning activities - campus:

Time engaging in learning activities is expected to total a combined equivalent of 8-10 hours per week.

This includes engagement with materials, responses to tasks, independent study and 1 x 3-hour scheduled seminar per non-placement teaching week (approx. 6-9 weeks).

Scheduled learning activities - cloud:

Time engaging in learning activities is expected to total a combined equivalent of 8-10 hours per week.

This includes engagement with materials, responses to tasks, regular forum posting and responding to others, scheduled synchronous online discussions and independent study during non-placement teaching weeks (approx. 6-9 weeks).

It is highly recommended that you attend scheduled synchronous discussions in CloudDeakin throughout the trimester.

ECA736 students should note that arts discipline methodology specialisms are available for Campus and Cloud (online) study strictly as follows:

This unit focuses on the post-compulsory years of schooling, years 11 and 12, and aims to develop students' abilities to research, create, implement and critically evaluate innovative teaching and learning practices in their selected specialism. Students actively participate in blended, located and cloud based (online) teaching and learning environments and with digital technologies. They engage in critical and analytical discourse to devise and evaluate arts classroom practice and workplace simulations that integrate pedagogy, curriculum and technology.
