Through a combination of preparatory classes and a work placement, students will develop generic, employability skills that prepare them for work, and a career in their chosen fields.
There are many benefits to both students and employers from undertaking relevant work placements during study. Learning and assessment activities in this unit will help students to develop an appreciation for work-life, and to make decisions about personal, professional and career development. Most importantly, it will provide students with evidence of relevant experience and skills when applying for future work.
Work-integrated learning activities within this unit provide you with an opportunity to develop work-related skills while you study.
